Women Cell Constitution
Women’s Cell of Jorhat Institute of Science and Technology was started in the month of October, 2014.
Objectives
- To take proactive measures towards sensitization of JIST community on gender issues.
- Generate awareness on social and environmental issues.
- To ensure social responsibility towards the institutes in the neighborhood.
Activities
- Celebration of International Women’s Day, 2015.
- Conducting a cleanliness drive, Swach JIST on the eve of Alumni Meet, April-2015.
- Observation of International Yoga Day, 2105.
- Health Camp organized for the students in the nearby school: August 2015.
- Celebration of International Women’s Day, 2016.
Women’s Cell and Jistian:
We invite every student of JIST to associate with the Women’s Cell and participate wholeheartedly and willingly in the programmes organized by the Cell.
